Which age group is affected?
Most commonly seen in elderly.
Why it is happens ?
It is because of some injury or fall down and SI joint is affected. Sometime it is associated with spondylo-arthropathy (systemic inflammation).
How it is diagnosed ?
By clinically (by performing special test names FABER test) and by doing CT scan. Arthritic changes can be seen.
How it is treated?
Initially we give anti-inflammatory medications with physiotherapy.If it is not relieved with this medications, then we give SI joint block or RF ablation of this joint or cooled RF ablation of nerve.
